I prepared one with salami and another with tomatoes and spinach.
I made a cream with about 150 ml of milk, about 50 g of grated cheese, a little salt, pepper and it's nutmeg. I cut the slices of tramezzini bread into 3 equal parts. For each toast I soaked a slice of bread in milk, and I fried the other two in pans (without oil).
I then proceeded to assemble my monsoon croque. I lit the fire at 200 degrees, I lined an oven tray with baking paper and assembled as follows: for croque monsieur with salami - a slice of toast, spinach sautéed in a pan with a little butter and salt, cheese (a slice of cheese or gruviera, mozzarella or even a slice of melted cheese) + a slice of bread soaked in milk + slices of salami + slice of toast and on top of my salsa with milk and cheese. For the vegetarian croque monsieur, I replaced the salami slices with tomato slices.
I then put the sandwiches in the preheated oven at 200 degrees, ventilated for 10-15 minutes. Delicious. A real treat for a time like this.
