For National Refreshment Day, presented by Traveler Beer Company, on July 28, El Original TX-MX is launching two special, off–the-menu “shush” (shandy+slushie) cocktails. Both cocktails will be available through Labor Day.
Ingredients
For the mint simple syrup:
- 3 to 5 pulled mint leaves
- 32 Ounces water
- 16 Ounces sugar
For the slushie:
- 54 Ounces crushed ice
- 3 Ounces grapefruit juice
- 1 Ounce lime juice
- 2 Ounces mint simple syrup
- 1 bottle grapefruit shandy, preferably Traveler Grapefruit Shandy
- Ruby red grapefruit wedge, to garnish
